Edward is the founder and Senior Pastor of Kambakia Christian Centre. The church runs a popular TV program which is watched by millions in Kenya and beyond. He has planted many churches in Kenya and other countries in Africa and provides apostolic oversight for the Newfrontiers churches in the region. Edward and his team have been actively involved with the recent post-election crisis. He is married to Fridah and they have four grown up children: Mercy, Joy, Samuel and Joel.

Kenya

Newfrontiers in Kenya The number of churches in Kenya that Edward over-see’s keeps growing through healings, signs and wonders, evangelism and church planting. Edward Buria leads Kambakia Christian Centre in Meru, and has been instrumental in seeing many other churches planted.

In 1997 there were 14 churches. There are now over 100, many in areas previously un-reached by the gospel and others where there has never been a church established according to New Testament principles.

"How often do we long for the next new thing in our lives, families, workplaces, churches, communities and nation? By human nature, we are bound to get tired of old routine and are constantly in search of a freshness to excite and motivate us! This New Season is that window of opportunity you have been searching for. It is backed by a prophetic proclamation to ignite your faith towards achieving your potential IN GOD and FOR GOD."

Mercy Buria-Mirindi writing about the "New Season" in Kenya.

The "New Season" is a 3 year period of time where God has said prophetically that there will be great advances in Kenya for His kingdom. Some of the goals for the "New Season" are:

  • Reaching over 30,000 souls with the Gospel
  • Planting over 300 churches
  • Touching the poor and marginalized people through compassion and sustainable initiative
  • Starting 80 schools and colleges alongside the churches.
